Naknek Lake is famous for having one of the largest King Salmon fisheries in southwestern Alaska. King Salmon isn't all that can be caught in the lake. There are also abundant amounts of Sockeye, Pink, and Chum Salmon along with Large Rainbow Trout, Artic Char, Northern Pike, and Lake Trout. While fishing, anglers can enjoy the local wildlife with ample opportunities to see wolves, moose, and the occasional wolverine. Although, the real star of the lake is the multiple Grizzly Bears that visit the lake to swim and feed.
